Its hot as balls outside, so we’re hunkered down in the AC. I’m watching the 6 hours at the Glen, with an afternoon cup of coffee. The girls are “fixing” the dinning room table and chairs. Not a bad day, for sure.

I’m watching the world cup match between Croatia and Denmark. I turned it on 5 minutes into the game, which means I missed both goals. Boo.
After the game I’m going to go clean out and wash my work van, because it's pretty gross.

But seriously, I just finished two overlapping shows so I’m a zombie. I have to start on Semicon 7am Tuesday so I am basically in hibernation to try and get rested for more punishment. Not a whole lot different than when I was in the Marines!

Falling pretty deep into the “might as well”. Since the engine has to come out for the timing chain stuff, we figure this will be a good time to replace a bunch of gaskets. That includes the head gasket and the “oil pan” gasket, which gave me a chance to give the crank bearings a shake. I

Nice! Took the little guy for a haircut this morning and got tacos on the way back, then played with him outside for about 45 minutes at his water table.
About halfway into it, I started taking the cup and dumping water over my own head to keep cool (he was wearing long sleeves, a hat, and managed to soak himself head to toe).
BIL’s birthday is today, so going out for Chinese later - but I might go for a bike ride shortly, which I will probably regret...

Houston Museum of Natural Science is today’s activity. So far, we’ve seen some amazing carving . This guy and his kids have some skills
All are carved from semi-precious stone, some out of a single rock, some out of many pieces.

Weather has been gloomy, no set plans, and everything is presumably closed for the holiday. Killed most of the morning drinking coffee and refreshing Oppo, then went and spun records for a couple of hours. About to have a snack with the fam and spend some time together... And probably keep refreshing Oppo.

Hanging out with my Grandmother at her assisted living place. Their is a some Hallmark movie about a baseball player coming home to his family and old girlfriend and realizing he was a dick when he was playing.
Earlier I got to watch a few hours of the Glen. I’m really considering going there next year.

In New Brunswick on vacation on the Chaleur Bay, where the water is freezing and we got a chilly, windy Canada Day. Went to a local outdoor park for some fishing and my so n caught a fish, so that’s our supper. If the wind fucks off, or at least turns around, we are going to set off a ton of fireworks on the beach.
Phyrxes once again has a wagon!

Got up watched the race on the the TV in my office while the kiddos were playing/watching stuff on the TV downstairs. I t ook the kiddos to my moms where we played with some giant bubble thing and made a glorious mess. Dinner is in the instant pot so today is winding down.

I thought better of it, and went to the gym instead. Besides the heat, I wasn’t sure what time the storms would arrive. I did drive the convertible though, even in the heat - caught a few raindrops on my head on the way home.

Friday afternoon I was offered VIP tickets to the 6 hours at the glen by one of my parts vendors. I reluctantly had to decline due to a prior commitment of a graduation party. which sucked. I normally only get Nascrap tickets which I quickly give away, but sports car racing in an air conditioned suite would have been awesome.
